Physicians : Dr Bansi
Dr Pritpal Bansi is an Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in Surgery of the Shoulder, Elbow and Hand.
Dr Bansi completed his medical degree at the University of Queensland in 1996. He then completed his training as an Orthopaedic Surgeon in Queensland and was awarded fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2007.
Dr Bansi was the Director of Orthopaedics at The Townsville Hospital from 2007-2008 before undertaking fellowship training at the St Lukes and Sydney Hospital Hand Unit. He has an ongoing involvement in research being performed at the University of New South Wales.
Dr Bansi currently holds affiliate membership of the Australian Orthopaedic Association as well as membership of the Queensland and Australian Hand Surgery Societies. He is also a member of the European Wrist Arthroscopy Society and a member of the AO Alumni Association. He has attended and presented at both national and international scientific meetings. His academic positions have included Associate Lecturer for the University of Queensland as well as Senior Lecturer for the James Cook University.
Dr Bansi has a public appointment at the Royal Brisbane and Womens Hospital, Herston.
The focus of his practice is shoulder, elbow and hand surgery.
